Re: 2005 XC90 RPM Stable but engine surges

Replace the pcv filter. The engine is starving for air. And check your spark plugs.

Re: Bulb Failure Position Light

PEOPLE!! if you have to "bump" your car to get the lights to work it is a connection or ground issue. First thing to try is get some GOOD electrical contact cleaner and spray it on your sockets. next get some good dielectric grease, with a q-tip put some on your new bulb end before you ins...

Re: 2006 XC90 2.5-good/bad?

Volvo 2.5T good- Volvo 2.6 BAD, V8 - Jury is not back on that one yet. The 2.6 L engines matched with the trannies have had issues with the trannies. as another poster said- if you only want one for general highway cruising and around town driving the 2.5L is perfect. IMO, go for the 2.5T I have one...

Re: 05 XC90 Rear rotor and pad replacement

Yet Another dumba$$ reply. I believe the guy asked a specific question that your response does not address- "does the parking brake cable need to be loosened?" what is wrong with the people that respond to questions in this forum?? People ask questions and you answer them with ambiguity. T...

Re: Check Stop Lamp

what a dumba$$ reply!!! the check position message usually does not come on unless the bulbs are out.
To the original poster: see my reply to your other message for instruction on how to replace them. the message will go away once you replace them.

Re: Radio Backlight

To fix your radio backlights- the bulbs are tiny little bulbs within the unit. From what I have read they are hard to find. but essentially the unit has to be removed and opened up to replace the bulbs. I have the same issues and it is irritating to say the least. I simply have not done it because i...

Re: Changing Driver side rotor

the idea of simply replacing the whole hub just because a lug nut is broken off is COMPLETELY stupid!! That is the kind of solution a dealer would say. I realize that this is an older post and you probably already have this issue sorted out, but perhaps the following will give others a hand in solvi...

This diagram is crap. it describes nothing like what is on my xc90 except for the graphical representation.

Adjusting the ebrake on my XC90 - How to?

Can someone for the love of GOD please post the correct procedure for adjusting the ebrake on an AMERICAN XC90. I have seen all sorts of posts for this and they are cryptic at best (including the stinkin diagram from VADIS). Here is what I know- remove the lower panel to access the cable asembly. re...

Re: Rear Wheel Bearing 2004 XC90

To replace the rear whel bearings on a 2004 XC90: Prep steps (trust me on this one it will make your life easier) Do this while the vehicle is still on the ground not jacked up. remove the dust cover from the wheel hub area. you will see a bolt in the center. Using a 14mm deep well socket loosen thi...
