Re: 1997 V70 loss of power; no acceleration possible.
"Disconnect Maf sensor connector and go for a test drive. If it runs good...it's bad Maf." Clogged fuel filter or weak fuel pump could also be the cause. Did you checked fuel pressure at fuel rail? Check engine light on? I have replaced the fuel pump relay; no change. I unplugged the MAF ...

Re: S70 rear exhaust cam seal continues to leak
Mucho thanks. I did the glove test and it inflated. I am now in the process of renewing the PCV system. I'm also trying to remove the oil pan to check things out with oil pickup, etc. Having difficulty getting any sort of wrench, socket, etc. on the front corner passenger side bolt on the oil pan. W...

Re: S70 rear exhaust cam seal continues to leak
Thanks. Not sure what the "glove test" is, but I'll check it out.

S70 rear exhaust cam seal continues to leak
1998 S70 GLT with approx. 200,000 on engine. Have replaced rear exhaust cam seal at least 4 times over the past several years. It begins leaking quite soon after doing so. I have used Volvo and OEM seals. Have never replaced rear intake exhaust cam seal and there is no observable leaking. Advice or ...

Re: Steering wheel suddenly will not turn???
Thanks for your comment. I replaced the rack with a new unit from IPD; not a Cardone. Just got off phone with IPD and they assured me it was not a steering rack issue but recommended checking out the steering wheel lock mechanism and the steering wheel shaft itself. We'll see. It's a really strange ...

Steering wheel suddenly will not turn???
1998 Volvo S70 GLT, 266,000 miles and well cared for. Car has been running great. Steering rack replaced last year by owner. Ignition switch replaced several years ago. Yesterday while heading out of driveway and beginning to turn onto paved road, steering wheel suddenly could not be turned left or ...

Re: 1998 S70 Replacing rack and pinion steering
I just completed replacing the steering rack on my 1998 S70 GLT, along with front and rear motor mounts, etc. It's a b**** of a job but if you have the time and the patience, you can do it. I used a rebuilt unit. The Volvo rack is just too costly. That's probably what your S70 requires. See Robert's...

2013 S60R intermittent engine hesitation
About 92,000 miles on car. Intermittently, when attempting to accelerate from a full stop, such as needing to move quickly into a lane of fast traffic from a stop sign, the engine will just not respond to pressing on accelerator pedal. Car may move forward a few feet (often just enough to move into ...

Problem with key tumbler and starting
1998 S70 GLT. Key will turn in switch but feels weird and sometimes engine will not start. On removing key steering wheel does not lock. I had to twist key multiple times last night before the engine finally fired.

S70 headlights
Replaced headlight wiring harnesses due to age and heat deterioration. Now headlights do not work. Corner amber lights work. Turn signals work. Fuses and relay look ok. All electrical connections rechecked and ok. High beams flash when I pull the left stalk on steering stalk. Any ideas?
