Sounds your gas tank should be covered by Volvo's recall.
I have got as far as the national service manager and await his response.
It is a shame that the service given by the dealer ...

'94 fuel tank - repair possible?
After noticing the odd waft of fuel around my '95 850 turbo i read up on the "common" problem of cracking/weeping around the heat shield lugs. I got underneath and found a wet track coming from a lug.
I have removed the tank (whew) and found i have stress cracks around 2 of the 3 lugs.

'96 2.0L turbo low boost compared to '94?
I have a 1996 2.0L turbo and a 1994 2.4L turbo. As you would expect these are quite different cars to drive. The main difference is torque off the line with the '94 pulling like a trooper.
I have noticed that the little turbo boost gauge on the '94 normally sits on about half way once running ...

Still Mayo on the stick after HG change ?
Hi, My 94 850 turbo has been running sweet after a HG change (just a couple of leaks on the oil cooler lines)
The dipstick was pretty cruddy after the new HG and intial fill with fresh oil. Oil filler cap and cams all clean.
I have now done a flush, oil and filter after say 500kms and sprayed some ...

1996 850 central door lock actuator
The drivers door lock began to work internittently and has now failed - the key turns but fails to lock or unlock to the drivers door. If the key is used at the trunk or the passengers door it unlocks the car but not the drivers door. I have removed the door complete (to JB weld fix the door ...

I believe you're talking about the line that (should) connect to your fuel pressure regulator on the inside of the right fender.
At least, that's where it is on the 1998 - I think a 1996 850 is the same.

Re: 850 turbo 2.0L engine looks out of time?
I think the OP means the second nipple on the air intake (see photo below) just downstream of the MAF.
I replaced this hose when I did my PCV recently and didn't know what to do with it either.
There was only 1 nipple there (which connects to the TCV)on the original hose on my 94 turbo Wagon ...
