Looking to swap the straight flange for an angled one on my 15G - let me know if you have anything.
Also, I'm in need of some new 4 bolt lower control arms from a C/S/V/XC 70 98-00/04, looking for new blue box or OEM, or also verified slightly used OEM.
Thanks!

Re: ECC climate control temp sensor measurements made easier
Ok, this thread from VS, is a little more clear on how to do it. http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/topic/91626-ecc-codes-for-a-1997-850t5/ The DTC's are the same so you can use the listings on VS to decode, or if you have the Haynes manual, or this one on MVS https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/volvo-dia...

Re: ECC climate control temp sensor measurements made easier
For the ECC, Cruise Control, and even M4.3 on 96 and 97 850's it does in fact work. You actually use the OBDII port under the coin holder. I've used that method to diagnose ECC issues on my 96 850R and on my previous 96 850T.Matty Moo wrote:That's only up to 1995. He has a 97.

Re: ECC climate control temp sensor measurements made easier
Just curious if you knew you could read the codes for the ECC using the OBDII port, a 12V LED, and a switch? Granted, it's a bit of a pain, but it works. The directions are found at the top of the page here http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/topic/47502-dtc-information/ right where it begins "To re...

Re: Head gasket kit quiz...
@ J_CD: No, the coolant pipe has the paper type gasket just to the top of the orange front cam shaft seals. @ JordanW: Same thing. If noone guesses it correctly, I will post my thoughts tomorrow afternoon. A 24 hour quiz. Yes, that paper gasket does go on that pipe, but that piple also is removable...

I'm guessing, but maybe the o-ring on the coolant pipe that goes into the water pump housing on the block, hard to tell.

Re: Boost Issues Plus Running Rich, 96 855R
Stock 850R tune, or are you running something else? Unlikely it's a turbo. Your vac readings, are those in park, warm engine, and A/C off? I would cheack for boost/vacuum leaks including the lines from the BSC to the turbo. 18-20in hg at idle in park ac off engine warm are good numbers. How are your...

Re: high pressure pipe connecting comp condenser
There is an O-Ring located at the connection look here for the PN . You can try to tighten the connection, do not waste your time with some silicone, the high pressure side of the A/C runs in excess of 225 PSI; use the proper o-ring and make sure you use some PAG oil on it if you replace it. It woul...

Re: ignition help
Those are the knock sensors. They need to be where they were designed to be and torqued to spec. The sensors tell the ECM if there are any knock or detonation events occuring; if there are, the ECM will adjust timing to compensate.
