Re: 2001 V70 T5 Inside rear view mirror swap

Last update. Solved sunroof and map light issue by taking ignition key and manually locking and unlocking the car (don't use remotes) from the drivers door. This reset the system and everything works fine. Success!!!

Re: 2001 V70 T5 Inside rear view mirror swap

UPDATE!!!!! Bought a used mirror with matching part # on ebay $50. Sent my mirror and used unit to Xemodex in Canada. They charged $199 plus shipping to transfer info from my bad unit to ebay unit. Reinstalled and car cranks and runs fine and mirror operates fine. Only downside is now my sunroof won...

2001 V70 T5 Inside rear view mirror swap

My inside mirror is shot. I have found a used unit to replace it and I understand there is some data transfer required from my old unit to the replacement. Does anyone have any experience with the company Xemodex that does this data transfer on same day service? Also is there a secret to unplugging ...

Re: Windshield coating, or tinting, or laminated

This will probably won't be much consolation to you but I drive a 2001 v70 w/173k that I bought used and the windshield was terrible. Constant glare and no matter how hard we tried it just never looked clean. Finally replaced it with a new one and kicked myself for not doing it earlier. A little con...

Re: 2001 V70 replace inside rear view self dimming mirror

Ok thanks. I should have known nothing is simple with one of these cars. I did find buried in one of these forums a step by step to do the circuit board swap. Just need to sum up the courage to take on the project.

2001 V70 replace inside rear view self dimming mirror

I have a 2001 V70 T5. I need to replace my inside rear view self diming mirror. I found a used one on ebay for around $93.00. The posted pictures shows the pig tail cut about six inches from the mirror to remove it from the car. I'm assuming that my pig tail will plug into this mirror and that all o...

Be careful with water and coils. They don't mix.

Front Suspension Rattle

I have a 2001 V70 T5 165k. In the last 10 months I have replaced drive axles, lower control arms w/bushings, and front lower engine mount. I still have a suspension rattle that seems to be coming from the rt front when I hit a rough spot in the road. I'm thinking maybe bad strut but hate to go in bl...
