Re: 1998 V70 XC AWD Random Misfire. P0300, P0302, P0304, P03
I am anxious to see if the moving of the wires is the fix. Please update. The code is made up of a letter followed by four digits. Each one of these parts carries a specific meaning. The letter tells you what overall section of the car the code is coming from. P stands for the powertrain, the engine...

Re: C70 Master Window Switch
This is just a guess but if that were me, I would be taking off the driver's door pannel and looking at the master window control to see if you are at least getting power to it. That is how I found one of my previous problems. By finding that power was not getting to the master control, it then dire...

Jblackburn has been my saving grace in regards to this issue and many other items I have attempted to address in the pass. Thank Jblackburn :) Like he mentioned previously...zip tie the cam/crank position sensors away from the distributor coil wire ... these are found around the BellHousing. My fix ...

Re: Advice: give that ol' rear wiper a look
Before_and_After.png Thanks to all. Great details. I thought I was looking for a broken wire as well. Once inside and having done what I thought was proper testing of the motor, I thought it was still ok. Then I was second guessing myself. I was able to get a replacement motor from a friend (lucky ...

Re: rear cam seals blowing
I did my PCV about 35,000km ago and seem to have blown out the rear cam seal twice now. This time is worse. The amount of oil coming into my distributor cap is blowing off misfire codes right, left and center. These codes only started to appear and be noticeable today in -24C temperatures. I was bar...

Re: XC70 Gas tank removal
Wow. Thank you so much for all the details. You almost make it sound easy :) I hope to be able to look at this sooner than later, but not holding my breath. Maybe I will be lucky enough to be able to let this go a while longer since I suspect I should dedicate more than just a few hours for the job ...
