Re: 2004 V70 2.5T P0497 After pcv/vacuum hoses cleaned repla
Thanks for reminding me of that! I've gotten a "loose gas cap" message on various occasions over the last year or so. I've been meaning to check the hoses down near the gas tank and fuel filter when I get message but forget. I'll probably get under there this weekend. On a side note, I rem...

04 V702.5T Oil drip from connections at intercooler and turb
Hello all, I have a 2004 V70 2.5t w 111,xxx miles. I've noticed over the last few months I have drops of oil coming from the inertcooler and turbo at the hose connections. Is this a precursor to a possible PTC clog or is it something fairly normal for these cars due to age? It's small half dollar sp...

Re: Limp Home ONLY when hot outside (?)
I read a few different forums during the winter months. I came across one that was relating this issue to the elec throttle body being either super dirty or one where the butterfly plate was misaligning and sticking with the heat due to metal expansion.(Random sounding, I know.) So I thought it woul...

Re: Upgrade to S80 speakers?
Are you running a factory stereo or aftermaket stereo? I'll be pushing these with my factory radio for a while. I don't see myself spending a lot of money on aftermarket speakers, these may be a less expensive alternative.

Re: Upgrade to S80 speakers?
Please keep us updated on the swap, as far as sound quality difference! I saw a set of front S80 this past weekend at my local yard and thought the same thing as you! I'll be installing them with the factory head unit and probably go aftermarket later.

Sometimes this guy goes out, http://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo-blower-motor-resistor-s60-s80-v70-xc70-xc90-8693262. My 2004 V70 was constantly blowing for a while and would not shut off, even several hours after car was stopped. I had to disconnect the battery to get it to shut down. I replaced ...

Re: VIDA 2012B VMWare Player Image
I successfully downloaded and installed (4/03/2013) on an old Pentium 4 3.06ghz desktop with 1 gig of ram. It worked well for the little while I played with it, It ran a little slow. I installed with VMware 3.0 because my pc wouldn't install ver 4 or 5. The VMware has the ram slider greyed out also....

Re: Timing Belt Change
I did my 2000 V40 a while back and my 04 V70 recently via the Fcp Groton youtube video and a few diagrams. I will admit it was a bit stressful without locking cams but it came out perfect! Good luck!
