Just had mine replaced at 215K miles. It had a few hairline cracks on the outer sheath but gosh after 20 years, it was time and I did go with the stainless steel braid ones.

At 65K miles most of my repairs were under warranty. Only things I paid out of pocket were 1. Battery, 2. Rear brake pads/discs replacement which I did myself (purchased from FCP Euro), 3. New tires and alignment.
