Re: 2000 S70 Starting Trouble

Turn out it was the little plastic button on shift knob...classic design flaw they are known for!

Re: 2000 S70 Starting Trouble

Great suggestion...I recently replaced the positive battery cable (6-months ago) from battery to starter. Maybe it has come loose? Since I have already changed the PNP I was really stumped.

Re: 98 S70, Meyle Outer Tie Rod (approx 12 mos)

Well, you can try to see if FCP Euro will allow to return under warranty and pay the difference for a Lemforder tie rod...nothing ventured nothing gained. I have a both Lemforder and Meyle suspension parts on my BMW X-5 & 328 and they both have performed excellently over the last 2 years. Look a...

Re: 98 S70, Meyle Outer Tie Rod (approx 12 mos)

FYI...FCP Euro guarantees their parts for Life! Turn in a warranty claim...I know it is not ideal but you can get the part replaced.

2000 S70 Starting Trouble

I have a 2000 S70 SE, non-turbo, autotrans w/5spd with 128K miles. I have had car for 2 years and it has been great other than minor/usual repairs for car this age. My trouble is the car began to have issues starting about a month ago. I had previously replaced the PNP switch along with the ABS modu...

Re: 2000 S70 Flashing Arrow

Follow-up...like a goof ball I didn't reset the codes after installing the new PNP switch. I reset codes and no more flashing up arrow or CEL! Drove it for 25 miles street and highway no issues so far! The PNP switch was a new part for $68 at FCP Euro. The PNP switch replacement was easy and there a...

2000 S70 Flashing Arrow

My 2000 S70, non-turbo (gas) has 132,000 miles and the Check Engine Light comes on intermittently and the flashing arrow comes on too. Sometimes the speedo is erratic or doesn't work but overall the car runs great. I read a number of articles here on the S70 forum and after looking at the codes I pu...

Lee,

Any recommendations best place to purchase (website). I purchased the Fox Code Reader from IPD thinking it would be sufficient.

2000 S70 Stalling and rough acceleration w/codes (P1610, P0116, P1618, P0600 & P0717, P0722)

My 2000 S70 (non-turbo) has 136,000 miles and overall in pretty good condition. I replaced the ETM a month ago and the car had been running great until the last few weeks. The Speedo seems to be erractic and acceleration sluggish at times. The Service Light came on and the CEL along with the Flashin...

Re: 1999 s70 ETM

I don't know other than searching my foreign auto part websites. I have owned a 97 850 Turbo, 98 S70 (non-turbo) and now own a 2000 S70 (131K, non-turbo), the non-turbo's are easier to work on since turbo stuff doesn't crowd the engine compartment and with forums like this one, easier to troubleshoo...
