Re: Volvo 850R brake upgrade ideas?
8251319 is the correct part number. There was another one that came with a zinc-plated coating but it now supercedes to this one. Not available in the U.S. and wasn't available in Europe either until recently again. Volvo did a small batch to send out to some of their dealers and major parts supplie...

Re: P80 AWD lower torque rod part #?
Hi Neil, I believe IPD carries poly bushings for the torque rod. I think they even have 2 different hardnesses (or at least they used to), one set of black for track use and one blue for road use. I think I have a set of the blue ones somewhere but have for many years had the old QBM one which used ...

Re: 1998 Volvo: Parts for Rebuilding 5 Cylinder Motor
Hi Andy - sorry just seeing your post as I haven't been on the forums in a while. Glad the rear subframe info is helpful. I think I replied to you on another forum regarding the bushing you were having trouble finding...any luck? I have to admit that since the Volvo dealer saved Ben and I some time ...

Re: 1998 V70 M56 outer bellow part number needed
Yes I can see the picture - you don't need to imply that I either can't see or didn't bother to look. There was never a designated difference in the boots for AWD vs. FWD and the turbo manual driver's side axle is the same for 1998 across the C70, V70 turbo FWD and AWD. All I can say is to try the k...

Re: 1998 V70 M56 outer bellow part number needed
Wow, I think you're being a bit overly accusatory here. First of all, I've used an EMPI boot kit on my manual passenger side AWD axle. So it most certainly did exist. It's possible they discontinued it if there wasn't much demand. Second, the part numbers I provided are incorrect? They are the ones ...

Re: 1998 V70 M56 outer bellow part number needed
Hi there. Here are the part numbers you need to rebuild the manual axle: Repair kit inner manual turbo: 31256227 Repair kit outer turbo all: 31256237 I believe you can easily find EMPI kits in the U.S. but GKN/Lobro are much better if you can find them. I can get them over here if needed. 271827 use...

Re: 00 S70T5M Made new shift cable bushings
Nice work Russ - always cool to see custom projects like this. So now people have used brass bushings from old Toyota Tercels, SS from Snabb, spherical bearings from Kaplhenke, and custom delrin. Pretty good range of options I'd say!

Re: 1998 V70XC loud clunk from the rear end drivetrain
Sounds to me like the freewheel of the viscous coupling if it's happening on corners at speed. Obviously check the mount on the torque tube and the driveshaft as suggested but it may be a sign that you need a new viscous coupling. Does this also happen as you are coming to a stop just before actuall...

Our P80 diffs are supposed to hold 1.3L as a guide at least.

Re: 2000 V70R - AWD Brake system questions?
That's weird. I remember the little 1/2 liter bottles of Volvo brake fluid being DOT4+...maybe they changed it recently? I use ATE Type 200 brake fluid. Used to use the Super Blue stuff and alternate as it was easy to see the color change when refreshing the fluids. Of course the Super Blue stuff is...
