ABS/Anti Skid service Required-Wheel Sensor Replacement

Hey All, I wanted to post a quick recap on the 'ABS/Anti Skid service Required' fault light I was getting. I have included the error codes I was getting along with the fix I performed. My ABS light initially would turn on when going over rough roads and would reset each time I would turn off my car....

Re: Glove still blows up after PCV repair.

I just did the PCV on my 2004 S60 NA and the box looked to be in good shape but I replaced it anyway. The holes into the block did not look clogged at all so I am assuming that the issue was with the box itself.

Re: AC Overcharged?Undercharged?

UPDATE: I have cold air!! After reading the suggestions from Jimmy57 I rechecked the clutch gap and was able to get a .6mm feeler gauge into the gap if I really wiggled it around and tried to force it in. I did the 'zip tie' version of the bread clip fix on the clutch which seems to have resolved th...

Re: AC Overcharged?Undercharged?

That really sounds like the typical clutch issue, assuming the gap is fine, may meant the clutch is worn out - still check the small wire to the compressor just in case is not secured properly. The clutch magnet is influenced by the temperature of the compressor, as the clutch gets worn (or gap get...

Re: AC Overcharged?Undercharged?

Do you mean, it blows cold, then warm, then cold again and so on? Does this correspond with the clutch plate spinning and stopping? Same with the needle, does it bounce related to the clutch engaging/disengaging? If it is hot out, it will blow cold for ~3-minutes and then blow ambient/warm. The onl...

Re: AC Overcharged?Undercharged?

You are describing the problem where clutch wears and the gap between the belt driven pulley and the plate on the compressor chaft gets too large. The electrical winding gets warm from being energized and the magnetic strength falls when wiring gets warm and current flow goes down. Cool weather aff...

2004 S60 AC Overcharged?Undercharged? (RESOLVED:Clutch Gap+Overfilled)

2004 Volvo S60. AC blows warm after initially blowing cold. Issue: On warm days (over 75) my AC will start blowing cold and then start blowing warm air. On days under ~75 it will blow cold on all settings and seems to work great. Last fall I recharged the system because the air was not blowing cold ...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today....now sticky!!

Georgeandkira. 1) 2004 S60 2.4NA with 168,000. I bought the car with 80,000 and I do not believe it had been done. I didn't have any blow by or oil leaks but I did fail the glove test. 20180428_125837.jpg When I removed the oil trap I was surprised to see no real blockage at all, I was nervous that ...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today....now sticky!!

Started the PCV job on my 2004 S60 2.4L NA last night. Something where different between the NA and the Turbo version instructions I have seen. Spent at least 20minutes trying to figure out why I couldnt get the intake off before figuring out there is a bolt underneath the intake tied into a pedesta...
