What interiors interchange

I was wondering what car interiors interchange the 740 interior looks very similiar to my 940 interior I can find tons of 740 volvos and hardly any 940 volvos in the junkyards around my area.But I dont wanna buy a backseat and door panels to find that they dont fit even though they look like they should.If someone could advise me on this I would be very much grateful.

The 940 was the successor to the 740 and some parts are interchangeable, especially up to the 1992 940.

The rear seats are a good example. Up to 1992 model the seats are the same. From 1993

there are some differences in the part numbers.

The 4 door seat part number is the same on both but the back rest is different as the 740 had a one piece back rest. The 5 door seat part numbers are totally different. However, the basic design and construction of the two cars is identical and I feel that the seats will physically fit but you may need to modify the fittings.

As a point of interest the rear seats of the 1993 960 are the same as the 940 in both 4 and 5 door models.
