missing code for refurb stereo

Just purchased a 2000 XC70 and the stereo wont work. Tried the code that they gave me for the vin....no go. Its a factory refurb serial number VO8170 V3049264. ANyone know the code for this???
BTW...2000 SC-816 code could be 3653 for those who are hunting as well...

code is unique to each radio. The code you listed works for whatever radio it came with.

A parts dept at a Volvo dealer can give you the code but they may charge for it.

If you can't get it, PM me, I can get it for you.
Don't post random numbers, that 4 digit number on the radio is NOT the code!
Remember if you tried punching a number in more than twice and your radio now says OFF not CODE, you need to have the key on for 2 hours or drive the car for 2 hours until the radio reverts back to displaying CODE not OFF!

Its a no go....they keep giving me the original code for the factory item using my vehicle vin and not the stereo serial number...help me please. I am living in silence....

I was looking for a solution formy SC 805, when i readed your post. I share the same problem.
I went to my dealer, with the stereo sticker of the HIFI unit. The code they 've given me doesn't work.Would you try to help me to solve this trouble ?
