2006 V70 screen washer on when wipers on

Can anybody please tell me why my screen washer is permanently on when the wipers are operated. I have recently replaced the washer pump and as far as i know the problem was not immediately apparent, car passed the MOT just after pump was replaced, i only noticed the problem yesterday when i went out in the rain, could not leave wipers on had to keep operating single wipe which was a pain as it was raining fairly hard. Vehicle is a 2007 model year, registered september 2006.

can't be sure but its probably your switch for the wipers

i have same issue did switch sort it or what solved this issue
