As said above, big brake kit will NOT fit 850 wheels.

I have no problem with clearance to the wheels, I'll be picking up some 17" rims. I already installed new Stoptech pads and 16" braided lines...and have some 302mm ATE rotors as well...I need confirmation about the correct bracket/part #.

Do yours say "Ate 485"? Attached above are the ones I got used -- not yet installed -- so I can't say 100% that they are correct 302mm front brake caliper brackets.

No they do not, but you can tell from the photos that the brackets I have are entirely different :(

So now that we know Jesse has bad dope, what do we think about trying his other suggestion? :x

Thank you.

Longer brake lines?

Chris, I don't know. Can't speak for Jesse.

But FCP clearly lists #8602456 -- http://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo-c ... rs-8602456 -- "Volvo Caliper Bracket (302mm Rotors) Genuine Volvo 8602456"

The other part # is less certain -- http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/topic/97 ... -brackets/ -- there's a thread where someone asks about it.

I remember a link where someone shaved a bit off of the calipers to get clearance for stock rims after doing this upgrade. Can anyone please direct me to that post/write-up? Thanks,

See below "similar topics". Seems pretty controversial overall opinion appears to be don't do it.
