Sunroof height adjustment

My sunroof has a lot of noise. I noticed that on the front end, the glass (and rubber seal) sit a little bit above the roof surface. On the rear end, the sunroof glass sits a bit below the roof surface.

I read the threads about how to adjust the height. My question is, what is the proper height to adjust it to? Where should the sunroof glass top surface be in relation to the roof top surface? Should they be even with one another?

A year and a half ago I had the glass out when I replaced the headliner and sunroof shade material. It took me a few days to finally get the glass aligned and I've been to nervous to open the sunroof since then. lol

This is useful information. Now I can give the sunroof a try and see what happens.
