98 V70R messed vaccum hoses routing

Post by L.gargamel »

Hey guys,

First posting for me, this MVS site has been really helpful for repair advices on my first volvo work (98 V70 R).

I guess I've been sloppy while tagging which hoses ends goes where, leaving me with interrogations about some hoses routing (looks like an issue for many).

first:

I believe the hose end labeled ''E'' goes into the nipple labeled ''B'', is that correct.
Also, I have no idea where the other end of that white rigid hose (''A'') goes, so a little help would be welcomed.

second:

I think that the the arrowed hose ''C'' is the fresh air hose coming from the turbo solenoid valve. That's how I connected it, just need confirmation.

and last:

The hose ''D'' that I connected comes directly from the turbo bypass valve, Is that correct.

Thanks a lot for the help and sorry for the english if it's not great (French Canadian here).

You should look under your hood for a vacuum hose diagram which might help you get these straight.

It looks like some of the hoses are replacements, so it might be tough for people here to match what you have.

thanks guys, looks like I got what I needed.

Looks like the routing was good and the small hard white hose goes to a super small nipple on the cooling pipe beneath the exhaust manifold, the nipple is right under the camshaft position sensor.
