That must mean that Castrol Synthetic 5W/40 is cleaning the engine very well. You had better stick to that oil change interval for at least 4 or 5 changes so you can clean the engine, then later you can increase the interval to something like 10,000kms.

I recently used an IPD non-genuine PCV kit for a 2001 XC70 and I was VERY impressed that absolutely EVERYTHING was packaged in the kit including injector O rings and new crush washers for the 2 banjo bolts on the PCV pipe. Keep this in mind when/if you decide to replace the PCV.

I'm going to try to fit the SIM type keypad in my 2001 V70T5 and see if it still works. The rear of the car is filled with a heavy printer for a few days so I can't take a photo of the rear phone module. I may need your rear phone module if it's up for grabs so don't throw it away just yet.
