I met up with that guy I know over the weekend, and gave him my rubber strip that had become detached. He's supposed to take it with him to work and see if they can cut something to size. They've got a giant hydraulic cutter that they use there. So cutting them straight to any width shouldn't be an issue. I hope it works out. I'll let you know what he has to say.

Found this old thread as I am also looking for replacements the rubber strips for my Volvo OEM load bars.

ETrailer sells some of these to fit/ repair rails. Unfortunately they don't list them by spec. size.

Does anyone know if a brand name (like Thule) rack manufacturer made these cross bars for Volvo? If so, do you know what style or model they are? Or does anyone else have a source for the 3/4" wide flat (not T shaped)?rubber strips? Sonicadventures says they are 20mm x 3mm thick and I need about 6 feet total length (34"+36").

Which cross bars do you have? There are at least 3 types that connect to the roof rails, and then another that mount directly to the roof using pins in the top of the door opening. Some are still listed new at around $30 each.

I have the ones that clamp onto the "Euro bars". Volvo part #9483630, #9204753. In an attempt to reduce wind noise I am trying to find a replacement for the rubber insert, which is available as part number #9483284 from Volvo for about $35 USD per strip!

OK. So it is not that they are not available, it is just they are pricey. I get you.

I used pieces of bicycle innertube.. cut a hole lengthwise and slide it on each arm that goes around the rood rail.
Dont know if that works for you. I just use some generic roof racks clamps that clamp to the roof rails.
