S70 T5 - What's special beside the engine?

...I saw a spec sheet online that said the T5 had 16" wheels, so larger rotors would make sense....

My n/a came from the factory with 16" Persus wheels.
"R" had 17".
T5 also 16".

They came with whatever wheels were ordered. There was quite a choice. It's the minimum size that will fit that differs. A na should fit 15" regardless of what it was sold with.

My S70 T5 came with 5-spoke 16 inch wheels and 280mm front rotors. So, I think bigger 302mm rotors were an option and not standard on a T5.

It was an option indeed, well in Australia anyways, my S70 1997 T5 came with 280mm rotors and I have upgraded them to 302mm with zero difference in braking performance but I guess it would be due to crappy ceramic pads which I'll be replacing soon.
