Re: Clicking driver's side door module

Ok... I had the same issues on my 02 V70 xc 1st the driver side would click for an hour or more than start working again, I pulled it, cleaned all the switch contacts seemed better for a while then the passenger door started to do it no windows no locks,no temp sensor.
I took a shot and went to a junk yard and found the same model and year I pulled both modules and installed them in my car. It's 2 months later and so far no problem. Not bad for 17$

Here are a couple links to previous DDM problem posts. One even describes the clicking and battery going dead:

If there is a a small white label stuck on the module with numbers on it, (not the part number molded into the plastic), that's the key to the castle. In my case there were three numbers on the label - the replacement module matched the first two numbers out of the three. It ended up working fine with no reprogramming required.

Is the door chime silent too?
I know this is 7 months late...apologies...

Honestly, I had not given it any thought, so I just went out and checked. If the key is in the ignition, and the door is open, I get a chime. Pull the key out or close the door, and the chime stops.

Thanks,

Jonboy

Best bet is to find another car same year, model. Grab them disconnect your battery and swap them... I was charged 9$ for the drivers side and 8$ for the passenger side at a U pull it yard... And it's still working! Since then I found another set and bought them ... For Just in case.
Test them before installing on to your door panel.

Good luck....

For anyone reading this, for what it is worth....I chatted with Yagger in July of 2019 and ended up buying a replacement DDM off of ebay for under $60, matching the numbers on my module with what was on the one on ebay. Worked like a champ without any programming, and seems to have been working fine for the most part ever since. Occasionally the window seems to be stuck, but flipping the switches back and forth seems to un-stick it.

Cheers!

I had the same issue, i tried replacing the little relay in the module but it kept playing up. Ended up buying a replacement online and that fixed it.
Sometimes when i press auto down either window will get about half way down stop and go back up, might be getting stuck or might need to re learn where up and sown is..not sure

Did you have to match the part number and the 'w' number ie mine is" 8673187 w15e "
I'm finding the correct part number for the passengers module but not the w15e part

When it happened to my car I found one with matching numbers and 2 that were close to the same from a 2001 and 2002 x70xc from a Upullit, yard and tried them out in the parking lot.. all 3 worked.. I think they charged 6$ each.. its still working.

This was a while ago and that's what I remember. lol
Good luck
