How do I re-glue the headliner in a wagon (back half fell down)

Is it possible to undo the visor clips without damaging them? I have not managed to get them out intact and now have rattly visors.

I believe you can depress the clip from the side towards the windshield and wiggle it out without damage. At least I think that's how I got them out of my V70R when I did the headliner.

So once you get all the trim away, does the liner backer just fall down?
What about those wires taped to the TOP of the backer?
Is this a 3 man job (wagon) to hold it up & gently lower it while someone gets the wires un-taped?

It's not all that tricky.

I never have any extra hands for when I do any work on our cars.

Even though I scraped the foam with a paint scraper, the temporary tape is not sticking. Sandpaper is ultra messy & its cold outside. Anybody use a solvent, like toluene, to melt & solidify the foam/glue ?

What are you using the temporary tape for? To hold the failed, old material up?
