front seatbelts interchangeable?

I recently acquired a 98 v70 with a lot of wear & tear. The driver's seatbelt is pretty worn, grimy, and a little frayed. I was wondering if i can switch it out with a front passenger seatbelt that i purchased at a junkyard as the front passenger seatbelts seem to be less distressed?

What year of car did you pull the belt from? I seem to recall if you have a 98 it has to be a 98 as 99- had a different method of controlling the belt in an accident. Mechanical v's electrical.

I seem to recall also the belts are sided and the mounts make it so, as well as the side of the reel the belt feeds from.

What doen't help is the people on the likes of Ebay that give the impression you can fit any to any year.

They are both Year dependent and sided. Harvest from the same model year and side.
