The TPS could be causing an issue, but you will be surprised what the ABS unit does when you are not getting a clean speed signal to the ECU. I guess we will find out in due course.

Before work Friday, I was briefly able to use the 850obd2 app to graph the voltage from the TPS and I captured an instance of the voltage suddenly spiking. There was no voltage stated, but I'm guessing it's randomly shorting. I've got a new TPS ordered and should be here Saturday sometime, and in the meantime, I'll do some more testing on the existing TPS, and try to clean it.... maybe clean the throttle body too.

Oof, that's rusty! I didn't read the whole thread, but did skim it..... what finally happened with that car?

This V70 is not as clean underneath as my 850, but wasn't horrible. If I can get it cheap enough, I was actually thinking "winter beater", so I can save my 850 from the salt..... and it would just be cool to have a wagon.

New Bougicord plug wires.... are tool tall??? The tops would not sit down in the plug wells, so I compared to the originals, and the new ones are about 3/8" taller! I put the old ones back on, but measuring ohms, they're not consistent.

I replaced the TPS, and while running for a few minutes in the driveway it seemed fine. I moved on to the ABS module finally, and it came out fine. HOWEVER, the insulation on the power wires absolutely disintegrated! One second they looked fine, the next second pieces! I have never seen wire insulation do that before. I guess I need to research THAT now....sigh.

Bougicord blue ones are for 10v cars.
Grey ones(like originals) are for 20v cars.

Part # are different...you should have checked original part# before ordering.

I'll have to go look to see what color they are. I ordered them from FCP.

I'm guessing you mean the part that reaches the plug in the plug well, not the actual wire..... wire is black. I think maybe the wires I got are mis-boxed, The FCP picture shows gray, and lists the part number I have.

It looks like I ordered 6468, and got 6469 in the box.... so a mislabeled box.

I've already contacted FCP and they want my VIN number
