I'm going to flush the brake fluid on my 2002 and 2008 S60s. 2008 seems to be braking better with a double pump currently.
Will one quart/liter be enough for each car to fully flush the system?
Curious how much you all have used so I'm not short as it looks to be a higher end DOT4+ needed.

250 ml per wheel is my benchmark for refreshing. I have a marked glass jar for that.

I do return it, but to my local hazardous waste dropoff. I am glad they have seals on those bottle for those that do "return" it!

Flush complete yesterday. Wow that fluid was a olive green nasty mess. Is took just under a liter to complete.
I used a $31 Harbor Freight bleeder that hooks to your air compressor. My compressor was a little small to keep 100psi continuous pressure to pull the vacuum to suck out of the caliper so had to help by pumping the pedal but still helped to make a one person job.
Only piece I missed was how to flush the ABS unit. I did go to a nearby gravel road to actuate the ABS a few times, not sure that'll help anything.

You have it up to 100 psi and the reservoir did not blow up?

These pneumatic bleeders are set up from the other side, they use the air compressor to create vacuum on the caliper side. Therefore the master cylinder side is not pressurized. It's a cheap ($32) and tidy solution. I have not tried it but I am interested.

Erik hit it, uses 100psi at the tool on the caliper to create vacuum suck the fluid out. Not pressurize the cap. I'd still buy again as it was easy to pump brakes and check when the hose had clear fluid in it.
