95' 850 GLT - Rough Idle And Stalling

Post by fredt2 »

Hi everyone,
I'm having an issue with my 850, here follows:
Bought the car 6 months ago, did a pretty solid stage 0, except spark plugs and distributor, everything was running fine, PCV glove test ok, but lately it's acting a little strange, when i fire it up, it feels like the engine is going to stall, but then it comes back up again, runs well for some time and then acts this way again, and that doesn't stop with the engine warm, but even so, it never stalled completely. Also, when I'm driving, if i take the foot of the gas, it idles normally, but as soon as I touch the pedal, it struggles again, feels like it's going to stall, but 1s later it comes back up.
Already tried unplugging the maf, didn't help.
Cleaned the TPS recently too.
Any help would be tremendously useful.

Check engine light on?
'95 have obdI diagnostic ports under the hood.

All you need is a piece of paper and pencil to write down the flash codes.

Unfortunately mine has a motronic, with an obdii, so it doesn't show the flash codes in the engine bay, and I don't have a scan tool

I think it's the fuel pressure regulator, heard it buzzing while driving today, and it got to the point of almost stalling

'95 have both...obdI under the hood and obdII on the center console.

Even if it is Motronic...it's Motronic 4.3(which is pretty rare for '95) and ecu still produce flash codes.

So....make your own flash code reader with few wires and a led diode.

FPR doesn't make buzzing sound....IAC does.
