I had my intercooler repaired at a radiator shop. Depending on what you find when you remove it it may be fixable.
If the radiator is leaking where you say it is, then I would also check your engine mount under the crank pulley and the top and bottom torque mount bushings. That fail is typical of those mounts failing.

thanks for the info.
I'll keep the radiator shop in mind for the intercooler cause I'm certainly not buying a new one ($$$more than my car).
first I got to get it out to pinpoint the leak, couldn't see it behind the radiator.
hoping I can JB Weld it myself. ha ha
already R&R the lower LH mount & upper torque mount (lower torque mount ok for now)
radiator has the typical leak at the plastic side tank, 200K+ miles & 26 years seems like a good run for it.

I'm sure you may be able to. JB Weld have metal menders too, but remember the unit is under some pressure. What the guys did on mine was silver solder it if I recall.
What happened with mine was the 2 end mounts had come detached from the intercooler and allowed it to move between the radiator and A/C condenser. It managed to rub a small hole in the aluminum. There is a drain hole in the base of the intercooler so another small hole may not be too big an issue. Below you can see the small hole I had.
The bonus was I had the radiator guys clean the intercooler inside and out to remove any oil build up from the turbo.

I'm hoping it's something like that and not a seam leak where it meets the plastic end cap.
I think the local radiator shop here closed up years ago so this will have to be a DIY fix.
will definitely pressure test it before re-installing it.
