Here’s a few more things I found in the folder he gave me… from 2015 and 2008. Also, I think the original sticker?

The F/B ad seems to say the car on offer is a '98, so some confusion may have crept into the thread.
One common place for oil leaks on the pre-'99 turbo cars is the oil cooler lines, again, not a big issue but annoying. I have removed them completely on two cars and installed the delete plate, end of problem.
I was responding to the Highlander comment. I think I figured out how to do the quote thing you guys do, which obviously makes it clear which comment one is replying to.. I’m still learning to navigate this site. : )

Looks great, a loved T5 that got fixed when needed. You should get a good 5 years from this car if you stay on top of it

Once a month , the hood goes up and you check all over the engine for leaks of oil , coolant, power steering fluid, and ATF.

In the next three months, replace that ATF using the Gibbons or drain and fill method. Once a week for three weeks until most of the ATF is fresh.

If it been since 2008 for the cap, rotor , and plugs, those are due pretty soon but can wait for now

You are probably coming up on your third timing belt interval on a 1998. It depends on both time and miles. It isn’t critical, rush out and do tomorrow if it is overdue, but needs to be done in next month

Interval is 7 years/70k miles

That looks to have a persistent P0455 code. Seeing as they "found no leaks", I'm guessing it would be above the tank. It's not a real issue, but annoying. My wife's '97 GLT had a P0455 code for 3-4 years until I finally traced it to a chewed up hose on top of the tank.

It looks like it was maintained to some extent, so that's nice.

We can work out a time for me to look it over here in the near future.

Glad you're happy with it.!

Great job getting the car. And the original sticker too! When someone keeps the original sticker, it tells me they care that much more than the typical car owner. Get any issues sorted, do the preventative maintenance that abscate recommended (and a monthly check of tire pressure and bi-monthly check of tread wear), and the car should last you a long time.
