Strut mount bearing curvature Topic is solved

I just got this strut mount bearing. The screws are off-vertical with it sitting on the desk. The plate is concave. Is this how it should be, or was it damaged in shipping?

Every image on the Internet, including those on the IPDUSA website, is taken at an oblique angle and does not contain a straightedge for reference. I don't know how any of those could be useful for comparison.

I’m pretty sure the strut bearing surface isn’t flat. That could not get bent like that from flat in shipping, without destruction of the box

Edit: Scratch that, I stand corrected. Never underestimate the knowledge of the MVS community!! I would never think that was normal, good to see they are all that way.

They're meant to be like that. It matches the curvature of the strut tower.

I took some pictures and will upload them later when I have more time.

They are definitely bent on at least 2 sides. The ones I have are crusty with surface rust but came off a car and are OE units.

You can also draw a straight line and see the curvature.
