850 NA cams in a Turbo model
Has anyone heard of performance gains from switching the throttle body and cams off a N/A to a Turbo model 850?

Not sure...just have read that the NA cams are much more robust, so those running more boost than normal on their turbo engines have swapped theirs out for these.

Interesting. Any idea what they mean by robust?
Not sure if the throttle body is any different between NA and turbo. I don't think so offhand, but I'm not sure. If I remember I'll look it up in VADIS tomorrow.

This post here resolves the issue of TB differences between the N/A and Turbo with some additional wisdom from other posters.

My thinking on the cams idea was that the NA motor is acutally a 2.4L instead of a turbo coupled 2.3L Maybe this would be a question for IPD or something.

What about a bored out throttle body? Any opinions on this? I wanna get a little more power out of my 855 turbo but not as far as ECU and or an expensive exhaust. Let me know.

I believe the NA cams have a longer duration, which means the valve is open longer, in order to allow the NA engine to breath as efficiently as possible.
