Volvo S60 Tires

Post by firephil »

Hi there. Just bought a 2006 S60 2.5T with original Pirelli P6.
Has 68K and tires are due.
Looking at Yokohama, Dunlop or Toyo, maybe Kumho.
Any recommendation on tire replacements?
Tire size is 235/45R17
Thanks Phil.

Not sure if you bought new ones yet but i just went threw this a month ago.Stay away from Toyo Proxes 4 or Toyo in general the tread on there tires are very heavey and rub worse than most.I have Yokohama Avids W4S and except the Pirelli P6 that are stock they to me are the ones i test fitted and fit with Zero room but no rub.I would look at H,V rated tires and test fit on car. There is very little room in the wheel well.

I have been using Vredestein on my 01 V70T5, both the Sessanta for high performance summer driving, and the Wintrac for Winter driving. Switching is made easier with the second set of wheels, takes the guess work out of the when should I change over question. 235/45ZR17
01 V70 T5, BBS RGR Forged 17" with Vredestein, and Bilstein HD shocks.

I have a set of Yokohama Avid V4S tires on my car. They are one of the top-rated tires on TireRack: good wet and dry traction, low noise, good tread mileage, reasonable price. The Kuhmos wear out too fast.

SOLD - 2001 Volvo S80 T6: Mobil 1 Oil & Synthetic ATF, Brake Performance drilled and slotted front rotors, Akebono Euro Ceramic pads and Yokohama Avid V4S tires, 91K miles.

Here's a good Which tires should I buy? thread with many brands/models mentioned.

I have Triple Treds and they're a good all-around compromise tire for places with big seasonal changes.

Add one more thumbs up for the Yokahama Avid W4S.
These have been the best for me as well.
