1997 850 wagon cd player

my console radio shows all the workings for a cd player but i cant find one. is there one ? i just purchased the car and am still learning about it

What model is your radio? All of the radios from the SC-810 on had controls for a CD changer but many of them did not come with that option.

What does your display say when you press the CD button?

looked everywere there is no cd player

If it displays a series e's when you press the CD related buttons then chances are you don't have the changer - they come up on eBay all the time but a SC-815 or SC-816 will pop right into your dash and it gives your the CD at your fingertips rather than in the changer. They are about the same money at the end of the day.

I picked up a rebuilt SC-816 with black face from a local Volvo dealer in exchange for my stock SC-811 and $200. It was completely rebuilt and looked and functioned as brand new, and it was a plug-n-play swap out. The black face SC-816 head units were installed in the S90's originally.

Where is the cd player unit in a 95 850 sedan? i also have the cd player button but have not been able to find a player.

It is definitely located in the trunk, I think it is mounted up under the back deck.

Well i most certainly dont have one.. I have looked the trunk over! Thanks
