Rattnalle can you post pictures of European versions?Rattnalle wrote: 10 Jan 2019, 13:55 I'll be darned. I managed to find a reference to auto DRL at least for the S80. That's not on my car at least. It's always on. Not that if want it any other way.
However if that means the second high beam bulb is gone I stand by my previous statement that they've crippled the headlights by removing half of the full beam light.
DRL and high beams?

I'll try to remember on my way home. But as far as I've been able to find out they look the same. All pictures I can find even from us webpages show the same headlights.shiloh51933 wrote: 11 Jan 2019, 06:47Rattnalle can you post pictures of European versions?Rattnalle wrote: 10 Jan 2019, 13:55 I'll be darned. This is the usdm version in my 2004 XC70. The inner round light only activates in the daytime if you have switch set to 0 , otherwise the low beam xenons stay illuminated at the 12 o'clock position on the switch.

This is a European headlight in action. First the parking light (not legal while driving in Sweden, it's for use when parked with car off). Then low beam 35w xenon. Then high beam 35+55w xenon, originally the last 55w was halogen.
There is really no point using the 0 on Euro spec cars. The entire difference from the low beam setting is that the high beams don't stay on but only flash.
Design wise it looks the same apart from the little orange piece of plastic by the side.

Very nice. I'm wondering if anyone has swapped the USDM for the EDM .
I was trying to find a EDM picture of the headlight housings, a pic similar to the USDM picture I posted for comparison reasons. But once again USDM got gypped out cool EDM options, this happens quite often with JDM.

Our P2 Cross Country is a bit dirty from salt on the road but here's my actual USDM Bi-Xenon headlight.
I must admit that I'm a bit bummed out after finding out that the EDM Xenon headlights have a separate high beam just like the Halogen .
