PTC Nipple removal and cleaning

The CEL checkup at Advance Auto Parts today is indeed P0422. What'd ya know.

There's an "extension" thingy that you can buy that just attaches on to the O2 sensor plug to keep oil from getting in the wire and fouling the sensor. It was designed to prevent exactly this problem from occurring.

I will clean up the PTC nipple.
Removed the items circled in red. As cn90 suggested, the green arrow is a location near the firewall for 16" long 1/4" flat-head screwdriver. Here, I am able to loosen the clamp screw at the other end of intake tube connecting to turbo.

Progress.
The negative terminal at the battery was disconnected at the outset which is located at the rear of the wagon.
Removing the power supply cables at the engine makes job easier. Here are few photos...

Unhooked the Booster Control Solenoid from under the air-intake cover, and set it aside.
The three connections are visible, pulled off the purge hose after a twist, bruised fingers. Used the flat-head screwdriver to take Oetiker clamp off PTC hose.

These look clean. The light comes through, no build-up found anywhere near. What am I missing?

There is small buildup on sensor's electrical portion (pictured left). The inside of two-pin retainer at PTC is wet also (pictured right).
I am wondering why is it wet. Is this normal?
Would it mean there is a crack somewhere in PTC component, is it shot?
Would a spray with carb cleaner before putting it back together help it?

The air-intake tube was unexpectedly clean, PTC nipple with no buildup.
Here is the last item, the turbo itself.
Next step would be to wipe it clean.
