Radio fuse issue...

Post by AlanS »

2006 xc70- Last year I replaced the stock radio with a Kenwood receiver. In cold weather the radio will not fire up...I found that I have to remove the fuse (not the one on the radio, the one in the fuse panel labeled "Audio", and then put it back in. This re-energizes the radio and I have power. No problem this summer, but last nite the temps must have dropped...got in the car...no power to the radio. Took out the fuse, put it back in...power. What is going on here? How do I resolve it?

This could get stupid ugly and expensive, so start simple, swap the fuse for one of the spares. I know it makes no sense, but try it all you are doing is eliminating a variable
