2001 T5 Transmission interchange?

2001 T5 Transmission interchange?

I have a 2001 v70 T5 and i bought it with a fried trans. Im catching hell finding a geartronic trans local. Nearest one is 5 hours out in texas. My question is before I bite the bullet is can i use any other year or model trans? iv seen ONE person on an old post say he was able to do it but he hasn't been active in a while. I can find non geartronic transmissions all around Arkansas.

strandbergs part out a lot of volvos, they should be able to tell you what fits.
