Will a 2004 C70 subframe swap out on a 850?

Pretty sure it will yes. They are both FWD on P80 chassis, should bolt right up. Hopefully someone who actually knows for sure will chime in.

The C70 cars have compromises and annoyances, including the obvious one of body structural integrity in the convertible. So Volvo beefed up the subframe to at least partially offset the deficiency. Maybe you already know this, that's why you're asking ...

Yes I know about the C70 convertibles and that is why I am asking. I have almost everything for a subframe, steering, suspension upgrade on my 850 already.

There are 2 C70’s and the U-Pull it hard, one of which is a convertible and the other has brand new control arms (the only part I have not purchased yet)
I would love to clean and paint a subframe and install all the goodies on it before I swap it in.

That's perfect, you can get the control arms too that fit the C70 subframe!

Just make sure that the one with the new arms are the 4-bolt type, as that's what's on the convertible SF's.

I pulled parts from it today.

They are 4 bolt and pretty mint. The car had timing belt done a year ago and new parts all over it. I landed a clear non hazy coolant overflow too! I just didn’t know if the 2004 had major changes compared to the 850
