S80 V8 4.4l overfilled oil

Hi all. So I ran the car for a couple thousand miles with about 2qt extra oil. Nothing happened, no leaks or anything but should I be worried about impending doom? Is this engine bulletproof and can take some stuff like this?

I just did the oil change and little less than 9 qt came out, and it takes 7 qts according to the books.

Normally over filling can cause oil foaming and excess power loss from moving parts churning the oil (called windage). This effect is more likely at high RPM (above normal engine speed).
If you did not notice oil pressure loss warning or overheating, I expect you and the engine are OK.

When you drained the oil, was it bubbly or froth ? ... That is, did it have air bubbles in it?
Air bubbles on the dipstick before you drain the oil?

If no air bubbles, the crankshaft was not dipping into the extra two quarts and you are OK.

Bubbles without any discoloring is overfill where the crankshaft came in contact with the extra oil.

Modern oil has anti-foam additives in it. It takes a adulterate like water for the oil to foam. A discolored foam is water contamination not overfill but .. overfill can cause water contamination foam to become more pronounced.
