Re: Heater Core replace or wait 04 XC70 205+
Wipe insides of lower air vents on both sides with your finger. They get greasy the first thing when heater core starts showing age.

Re: Dolby Pro-Logic; only central loudspeaker working
Small update: the DIN-jack adapter I bought sadly does not fit the DIN connector at the amplifier, so could not test it that way. But I did check the following: At the amplifier end of the DIN cable I could only measure voltage at the central pin, which according to the image I included in my initia...

Re: Log of intermittent crank but no start | 08 S60 2.5T
If you could check your fuel pressure before cycling and then after cycling then we should be able to confirm it. AFAIK it should be around 400kpa-480kpa from what i recall. I can, I have this: https://github.com/vtl/volvo-ddd The odd behaviour is that the car can catch for one rev, stumble, then g...

Re: 2006 XC70 LTFT problems (ECM212C and ECM21EC)
Okay; I raided an '06 S80 2.5T for some parts today at the U-Pull. First of all; I pulled a clearly aftermarket MAF and housing off the car and put it on my XC70. The housing that was on the car was even more clogged than it had appeared when I first looked at it in the airbox, it had dead bugs and ...

Re: Look at this for ABS parts repair
I will also add this note: you can make your own ABS cement by taking pieces of ABS and mixing them with MEK. this would be particularly advantageous for color matching your fixes. In my case my interior is beige and I have cracked beige pieces. I will keep an eye out for a similar interior color in...

Re: 4th water pump failures in the last 1.5 years.
How much do you want to know about how a brushless DC motor controller works? I am going to explain what I can but before you read all of that the most likely cause of the problem is not the water pump but something external For example - faulty wiring or intermittent power can cause the circuit to ...

Re: SRS Question
https://thosbryant.wordpress.com/2018/11/17/1999-volvo-v70-s70-passenger-airbag-removal/ I had the SRS lights on from the time I bought my car for whatever reason and two indie shops said it was an issue not in their repertoire. Saw somewhere here I believe that by disconnecting and reconnecting tho...
