Re: 850 Tachymeter Instrument Cluster replacement
good question. I'd guess it would work, maybe you don't have the exterior temperature function of the better cluster (if your car came w/o a temp sensor).
The turbo gauge won't work if you have a NA car, that's for sure.

Re: S70 wiper delay relay
That is strange. The best way to get a working one is from a junkyard. Pull the 99 relay out of any 90ies VW that you can find. I have never knowingly seen a KAE relay, despite having owned a few VWs. Maybe the part is faulty. Because normally it is just a plug in and it works thing. I don't think y...

Re: This V70_GLT a good buy?
Dont you have Plants to go look at? Did Prince say we are going to party like it's 1998?  But I thought that the '99 model year was a bit of a transition year and as such had more than its fair share of problems. Kind of what might be called a bastard year. Was under the impression that ...

Re: 855 tailgate harness and how to fix
Thanks for the help. I went ahead and resoldered the wires and shrunk them. Everything works again. Even the rear wiper that I had suspected as faulty. It is actually doable to solder the wires w/o disconnecting the d-pillar connector, but removing the d pillar trimnand freeing the wires helps alot....

It's not always the ABS module
Even though we 96 upwards p80 owners know that the ABS/Tracs double orange means the module is faulty - it's not always the case, as I will photoproof here. Interestingly, the lights were off in dry wearher and only came on in rauny condiruons, which made me suspect the wiring. I guess a tiny rock g...

Re: It's not always the ABS module
I have a business partner in Voralberg, and it used to crack him up at trade shows when I told people we were in Austria, land of kangaroos. Geography isn’t always a strong point in the US Decades ago, I pulled up in a Burger King Drive through in Valley Springs, CA 95252, and the girl at the windo...

Re: 98 V70 Hissing PTC
After upgrading to a bigger hose I got that hissing sound as well. 4 years later it still hisses, runs great and passes the glove test.
