Re: 940 test wire location
Hiya, yes it's the bosch system and it does have abs and yes on the right of the engine bay attached to the strut tower. It is a yellow wire but it's got a rubbery sleeve on the end of it which looks the same as the other 3 that are inserted In the test box. The wire is just resting under the box. W...

Re: Polyurethane Bushings 240 rear trailing arms
Hi yes I done this, cut out the old rubber with hacksaw blade, or burn it out. I got the poly bushes (2 halves and the inner tube per side) 4 bushes and 2 tubes in a pack. Powerflex website and the part number is PFR88-211. If you find the diagram on their site, it's number 11 . Screenshot_2019-03-1...

940 test wire location
Hi there, I recently bought this 92 940 which has given me nothing but grief. (Major hesitation on acceleration) I'm still in the process of finding the fault but I have just noticed a yellow wire hanging down under the I'd box with a clear rubber sleeve which looks the same as what's on the end of ...

Re: 1992 940 throttle position sensor
Jimmy it is the bosch with the maf in the air cleaner pipe. I just had to Google what a map sensor is and I'm sure it doesn't have that and it's not got a turbo.

Re: 1992 940 throttle position sensor
The car is misbehaving. At start from cold it revs straight up to 2000 revs and then drops too 800. When I put my foot down on accelerator while driving, there's a major split second hesitation (only from accelerator pedal fully up position) and then it moves off fine but only when cold. When it's w...

1992 940 throttle position sensor
Opened one up today. It's only 2 switches. I was expecting a variable resistor. How do they work? And how they 110 quid?

Re: Front left noise
Dj, it's manual but with handbrake up and front wheels chocked I could give it gas and let clutch up, I can see where you're going with this- as the engine twists it will lift the engine mount? I'll give it a go as I've only tried pushing the engine over by hand to see if it's split. I will give you...

Front left noise
When I accelerate there's a rumbling noise from front left corner and when going over wavy parts in the road it's worse but going over the same wavey parts (coasting) at same speed but with the clutch down, there's no rumbling! It's not wheel bearing and the engine mounts don't seem to have split. I...
