This is great! Picture and all.
Fiddled with the wiring and found that the connector to the sensor was dirty and corroded. Cleaned and sprayed with wd40 and the problem is solved.
Thank you so much!

The temperature guage at the instrument panel is itermittently failing. Tried to locate the sensor and the appropriate wires but had no luck. I know this is a bit stupid but exactly where is it?

Re: Do it yourself ABS module repair.
Last week i sold my belowed 245 and bought a 1996 850GLE right away. This is my first attempt on such an 'electronic' car. Read through 21 pages of comments and great tips and felt inspired to do the job yesterday. Especially the tip on screwing the module to a piece of wood and using a crowbar was ...

240, 1993, locate headlight relay
The high beam/low beam shifter works only once in a while. It will shift to high beam but returns to low as soon as the arm is released. I suspect the headlight relay to be malfunctioning. - How do i locate the relay? It does not seem to sit around the others under the instruments and beside the fus...

240, 1993, 360000 Manual difficult to get in 1. and 2. gear
My beloved Volvo 240, 1993 (manual 5 gear model, Denmark) is starting to be difficult to get in the lower gears. It has always been slightly hard in the gears but this have started quite suddenly over the last 2-3 weeks. No sounds or other things indicate a specific problem. Is this due to a gear-le...

Re: Windshield wiper not working on "intermittent"
Hrforever: What i did was this: My motor looks slightly different from the image Billofdurham sent but nr. 6 is a white plastic disc with grooves of differing width (broadness..?) on the outer rim. In these grooves 3 copperblades (Nr.4) run and make contact at various points on the turn of the disc....

1993 240GL stationcar back door electrical problem.
The wires to the back "door" are broken in the just where they passes the hinges in the roof. Wiper/demister/3. break light is not working. Fortunately the numberplate lights do work. How to fix this is easy: replace with new wires. Done. But: Is there a smart way to get about this? And. H...
