Re: 1993 240 trumpet sound in dash
Good question. Seemingly nothing changes it, defrost, vents, radio, nothing. Happens consistently (more or less when I'm up to cruising speed then i have to give it a little more gas to climb a few miles per hour. Once I'm there, let off a bit on gas, goes away for the most part. I'll try some of yo...

I think it's a vacuum leak coming from somewhere. Seems to happen under load. Any thoughts? I pulled the console but you can only see so many vacuum tubes.

Re: 240 tail light problem.... different than normal
The cluster/lense assembly came with a new ribbon on the back. I’ll have to double check but I believe when I checked the pin I wasn’t getting power. That’s why I was wondering about cutting the wire to rule out the pin to wire connection inside the clip.

240 tail light problem.... different than normal
93 244. New to me car, my passenger side tail cluster had a few problems as they all do. Rather than cut and hardwire the tails, I just ordered a cluster from Autohaus. All is fine BUT my running light, the one that glows when headlights are on won't burn. Swapped sockets from other side, nope. So o...

98 S70 T5 radio swapout... DIN to RCA question
I know its been asked before but i have a few questions. I need a 5 pin, female DIN connection to male RCAs and im assuming my amp turn on can be handled by the other blue lead from the head unit. Not having a lot of luck other than maybe one on Amazon that got mixed reviews. Any ideas? Also, the pi...

1999 V70XC transmission sound. Part II
Ok, so just to try something I drained and refilled the tranny, but I'm still having a few odd things happen. 1. The most troubling is there is a buzzing sound, not horrible and destructive sounding, but loud enough to tell me something is wrong. Think a tattoo machine but lower frequency. It's emit...

Re: 1999 V70XC transmission sound. PNP?
Do you think there's a possibility the noise is coming from the alternator, which is maybe why the positive lead on the battery is very hot?

Re: 1999 V70XC transmission sound. PNP?
Would that trip the Limp Mode light? Also, would that cause the buzzing sound?
I forgot to mention, I also got a CEL that said something about the torque converter, but I mistakenly cleared it.

1999 V70XC transmission sound. PNP?
Ok, so another guys with tranny problems. (not that kind of tranny) My wife was driving her car (250k) and she said the orange shift light came on. I figured it was in limp mode, told her to come home. I noticed it was *slightly* low on fluid, topped if off, rowed the shifter to try and clean the PN...
