Re: RMS
Thanks for your input jimmy57, you have confirmed my worst ( and most probable scenario ) fear . I know you have way more experience along these lines than I do, and I appreciate your quick response.

RMS? S70 T5 started leaking way too much oil
Well about six months ago my trusty S70 T5 started leaking way too much oil. It didn't seem to have noticeable crankcase pressure, but I cleaned the PTC nipple, and while that was apart I blew into the larger hose which leads back to the black plastic oil seperator box to see if that was clear - whi...

Re: S70 T5 bad gas mileage
The milky stuff on the dipstick is usually just condensation. As long as the oil itself looks clear, and you are not losing coolant,
it is not a serious issue. The presence of this condensation may indicate that the car is in need of the dreaded PCV system cleaning.

Re: Code 0455 Diagnosis Procedure
Hey all, just an update/closure to this post. The culprit was the 1/2 inch J hose which goes from the rollover valve to the 3/8 inch overflow/spill tube which goes to the gas fill well. Dealer wanted $ 28 for the new hose, so I just cut off the split end and added on a new piece with a straight barb...

Re: Stripped Water Pump Bolt
Not sure if you have enough room, but after taking the pump off, see if you have anyplace on the broken face of the bolt where you can get a bite with a small sharp punch, nail, icepick, etc. Then tap the punch with a small hammer and see if you can back the bolt out enough to grab it. If the broken...

Re: Intake Bolts
I always like to go to the local boneyards if time permits. Usually get what I need for cheap, especially if it is a "pull your own parts" yard, plus other odds and ends I have been meaning to get ( that you will never find at Lowes
)

Check craigslist - auto parts - type volvo into the search. Try other nearby areas if you can't find any in your local listings.

Re: Code 0455 Diagnosis Procedure
Well, the J hose going from the cannister to the roll over valve still looks OK, but checking the other hose which right angles off the roll over valve and goes back to the gas tank and WTF :!: large split found where this hose clamps onto what looks like a hard plastic hose going back into the gas ...
