Re: 2001 V70XC - Brake line and Cliper Service Topic is solved

One tip I can give is that hose nut does not turn when loosening the connection. Hold it with 14mm and turn the brake tube nut with 13mm. Somehow the 14mm hose nut is indexed into the bracket so it will not turn until the connection is fully loosened. Looks like your car have had brake hose replaced...

Some observation; there are plastic shields, two per side, that protects the shock lower and springs from splash. I don't know if you took them off prior to the photo. They seem to help keeping things off of rather fragile springs in our XC70's.

The control arms are mainly different by the quality of bushing used. The front front bushing was made by Lemforder as OEM and I don't believe Beck/Arnley uses Lemforder bushing. The anti-roll bar is twisted when you have only one wheel in the air. So it imparts strong 'pull' onto the other side. jenkinskg,
Did you rotate crank to position, past it 1/4 turn CW, then turned it back CCW to alignment with the notches on the belt cover? Just curious if this is necessary to bring VVT in line during the belt change.

Interesting data point as I wasn't sure what the real life span of the timing belt as most are replaced before the failure point. So Rocky's friend drove 200K miles before belt failure. This implies for this case there was safety factor of 1.9 on the belt.

Doesn't the A/C evaporator turns cold from left to right(driver side to pass side)? Driver side air get's first dibs on the cold evap core and not much cold is left for the air directed to pass side.

If this is true, then it points to low charge in the A/C system.
