Re: S60 nonturbo code p0068

Is this an '01-'02 Non-Turbo? If so its probably your ETM. It is covered by a warranty recall for 200K Miles or 10 years from "in service' date. search the forum. Tons of info on this.

The only 02s were a VERY small minority of S70 and V70 NON turbos early months into production.
(Probably all done by Dec 2001

All Non-Turbo '02 have the bad ETM. Mine is a late '02 build (June '02?) and has the bad design. replaced once at ~70K miles. Now has ~140K miles and is still fine.

Re: stiff steering 2003 v70

I had the same problem on my '02. Removed the steering rack almost all the way out. Last thing to disconnect was the steering knuckle. The thing was nearly seized up! Re-installed the steering rack and installed a good used knucle. Works like a charm now! Oh, yeah, REMOVE that Dextron from the resev...

Re: S60 - Door Handle- Really? Replace the whole panel?

Looks great. I made my repair with some .032" stainless wire. Drilled 2 holes on the bottom plastic part and looped it to keep the cable in place. No problems for about a year now and my fix is a little less permanent in case you need to remove the door panel completely from the car. Yours look...

Using a used tranny instead of replacing the v.b. is a waste of time unless it has the newer v.b. already installed. The original v.b. design was flawed and by getting a used tranny from the wreckers will bring you back to square one. The new v.b. is of a different design and you should never have a...

Just a quick look at the wiring but it is the C.E.M. that powers both of these systems (as it does almost all systems in the car) and it looks like relay 2/120 is common to these 2 systems. Try replacing this first as it is your lowest cost option.
