True about the Torx…at the time seemed easier and did not even realize that it could be done that way .

This may or may not help, had a similar issue of misfire when i changed the plugs on our Envoy. The boot to the plugs where not seated correctly . Go in again and check the seating on the coil packs for the cylinders that are returning a misfire.

Front bushings and a inner tie rod plus ball joints & a motor mount solved my issue.Mine was more of a groan and creak plus i was diving when braking which is also resolved.

+ 1 on the fuel filter, mine was so corroded it was leaking.

I am not sure what prompted you to start the testing on the blower motor and what symptoms presented themselves to you to make you replace the resister only. So, if the blower motor was behaving erratically, like never turning off and running the battery flat after the key was removed and car locked...
