'94 Turbo Hose Identify (With Pictures)
Hello, I've gotten a great deal of feedback on this forum for many things but I am still a newbie where the engine bay is concerned but I am learning. There are a few hoses in my car that are not connected, one comes straight from under the engine cover but connects to nothing, the other is a series...

Re: check your spring seats!
Lee, I can't adjust the top nut because the entire mount turns accompanied by a loud rubber squeaking - this only happens on the affected side, the other has very little movement. Jablackburn - when I push down on the front firmly it does only bounce back once so it would seem the shock is alright.

Re: check your spring seats!
I know this thread quieted down a long time ago, but as it is so easily accessed in the repair database I figured I'd post here rather than in the forum. I have significant movement in the strut towers when bouncing the car along with the nasty sounds but I'm looking for a guide to help me get the s...

Thanks for the diagram, I see it now. Seems to be in there pretty snug though.

Re: 94 850T getting tired
Hmm, never even heard of that! It seems to be the alternative to the familiar blow-off valve. I was poking my head around today but I can't seem to locate it looking into the engine bay, and have had no luck searching for volvo specific images. Based on the info in the link it would seem a car with ...

Re: Small hose identification
Well that seems to be correct, I noticed that unplugged, my turbo gauge sits unmoving in the center. After being connected, the gauge moves quite a bit into the left, with hard acceleration it reaches the center. Of course I can imagine it should go a bit farther into the white, but at least I know ...

Small hose identification
I noticed a small hose in the front of my 94 850 Turbo that was disconnected. The hose to the left includes the connecter and has suction. Another hose on the drivers side also was not connected, though without any suction. I connected the two and didn't notice anything, though the suction noise bec...

94 850T getting tired
I was looking at potential, relatively cheap upgrades for my 1994 850 Turbo. The car has around 200k and has lost much of it's pep. Mainly looking to bring some life back into it, I've looked at both Air intakes (http://www.ipdusa.com/Volvo-850/Performance/Short-Ram-Intake/p-72-143-3546/), or (Perha...

Re: 850 hood latch not locking
Thanks for all the replies. I have tried pushing it into place with a screwdriver but it just pops back open. I think I'll have to go ahead with the replacement, it isn't an expensive part anyways. Thanks again.

Re: 850 hood latch not locking
Thanks for the replies guys, I did fiddle with both the latch and the release inside the car, but no progress. I will go ahead and order one, I see that it seems to be just a couple of bolts holding it in, but how is the cable disconnected?
