850 subframe & engine mounts, other stuff
I sold my 1995 850T and discovered I still have a few new parts. These include: - All four subframe mounts - The two "big" engine mounts - Left and right tie rod ends - A seat back (powered) actuator cable. These parts are all new and in their original packaging. I don't want to mess aroun...

Re: 1995 850 front hub life
Thank you. I talked with the guys at IPD and they said essentially the same thing -- until the hubs start howling, let 'em be. I have a tendency to go overboard when replacing parts; the "might as well" syndrome. Maybe overkill, but it does seem to cut down on the roadside repairs. When I ...

1995 850 front hub life
I'm replacing a bunch of rubber parts (engine and subframe mounts, strut components, etc.), axles, seals, and anything else needed under my 1995 850 Turbo sedan, which has 196K miles on it. What's the expected useful life of the front hubs on this vehicle? This seems like a good time to replace them...

Parting out 2000 V70 XC
I have a friend with a 2000 V70 XC wagon that has apparently given up the ghost. The car has 107K miles on it and looks good. She put a used engine in it about 12,000 miles ago, and that engine has apparently now blown. (It's beyond my understanding how this could have happened so quickly, but it is...

1995 850 Seat Source
I have a 1995 850T that I inherited. It's in the process of being upgraded to virtually new specs right now. One issue is the driver's seat. The leather is scuffed, the seat bottom foam is lifeless, and the seat heater hasn't worked in years. (Much of this is due to my 240-pound father occupying the...

2000 V70 XC parts free to good home
I have a couple of items that fit a B5244T engine. The specific application was a 2000 V70 XC, but the parts probably fit some other cars. My charming story: I had me a woman who owned the car in question. Her car began dying by degrees, and the engine pretty much blew up, for want of a more technic...

95 854T front end opinions
I have a 1995 854T with 192K miles on it (US model). Two questions: 1) I'm redoing most of the front end rubber, i.e. spring seats, strut bearings, subframe bushings, engine mounts, transmission mounts. Also replacing the axles due to a torn boot, and figuring they're due for a change anyway. I have...

Follow up
This window problem turned out to be a swollen window channel molding. Over time, it worked the regulator and the motor until they both failed. Replaced window channel and regulator cassette, and all is good as new now.

95 850T window problem
The driver's door window in my 1995 850T sedan started binding in the last few inches of upward travel. The problem seemed to come and go. Recently, the window refused to close, and appeared to have come loose from the regulator. Figuring the car was due for a "regulator cassette," I got o...
