Re: BCM issues
@Super.... thanks I will review the information and report back what I learned I drove the vehicle again for about 2.5 hours over the weekend. On the way to my destination I felt the pulsations but no lights come on. On the return trip, I started the car but did not immediately drive away. All the l...

BCM issues
2004 XC70 with 285K. My daughters have been complaining about the brakes not working right on this vehicle. Ended up buying a VIDA Dice unit to help me diagnose. The codes I am getting are all over the place: BCM-0130 - brake pressure sensor 1 too low BCM-0136 - brake pressure sensors 1 & 2 sign...

Reason for water pooling up in the footwells (and messing up the yaw sensor?)
Did a brake job on my 2004 XC90 and while I was there decided to inspect the emergency brake shoes. That meant releasing the connector on the tunnel (drivers side) to release the brake shoes. Whomever designed that thing is obviously brilliant, however Volvo made the mistake of letting this person w...

Re: Can I add factory navigation?
Pretty sure if you get used navigation system you end up with maps that are out of date.
Costs money to get updated maps.

in a pickle after failed fuel filter replacement effort
2001 V70 T5 Set out to replace the fuel filter with help of the instructions found on this site. My fuel filter connectors did have the fittings that need to be pressed in to release. On the tank side it came off, on the engine side I had to pick the connector apart to get if off the fuel filter nip...

2004 V70 T5 & XC90 oil in intercooler pipe
Recently I put in a new compressor in my V70 T5, but did not get the hose clamp tight enough on the hose between the intercooler and the pipe running on top of the engine towards the turbo. Merging onto the beltway I heard poeff, and the engine died instantaneously, no power steering, all the lights...

Re: 2002 V70 driver side axle removal?
I was successful with the wedge and a wiggle.
The wedge pulls on the shaft and keeps it up against the c-clip.
The wiggle spreads the c-clip.

Re: 01 V70 T5 RHS drive shaft came out of transmission
Is there also a spring inside the transmission housing that grabs a hold of the recess behind the splines?

01 V70 T5 RHS drive shaft came out of transmission
driveshaft.jpg 127K on the vehicle. The other day I parked the car to take the dog for a walk. 20 min later I come back start the car and put it in D to drive away. Hit the accelerator and I was slowly rolling downhill (as the car was parked with the nose up). Some unusual sounds up front. Anyway, ...
